Registration fee: Solo – 200

• Only students from medical background(MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSc Nursing, BHMS) are allowed to participate.
Tournament shall be conducted in 2 categories:
• Single Mix (boys and girls) Open
• Team Mix (boys and girls) Open
There is no limit to number of entries in both categories.
Teams shall be of 5 players. If any team has less than 5 players the number of missing players will be taken as a loss.
1. Format shall be Swiss System.
2. Only 8 rounds shall be played after which the highest placed entry (based on points) will be declared the winner. All players present will play all 8 rounds.
3. In each round Chess clocks shall be used with time control of RAPID 10 minutes each side with 5 seconds increment and no delay.
• Once the round has started players have 10 minutes (till their clock time runs out) to be present failing which the opponent will be awarded a walkover
Points will be awarded as such –
• 1 for each win
• 0 for a loss
• ½ to each side in case of draw.

6. TEAM RULES-
a. All players of a team will play all players of opponent team simultaneously.
b. Team winning on majority boards will be declared the winner.
c. Total team victory is important. Wins on individual boards will not be considered in deciding the fixtures.
7. All FIDE rules will be followed.
8. Cheating with help of any source will not be tolerated. If anybody is found cheating his/her entry will be struck off and all future opponents will get a walkover. Previous results shall remain unchanged.
