Badminton

Registration fee:

• Singles – 250 • Doubles – 400 • Prize pool: 15000*

• Only students from medical background(MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSc Nursing, BHMS) are allowed to participate.

Rules regarding badminton tournament

1. Knockout tournament

2. The entry fee deadline is due the day before the tournament starts (April 9,2025).

3. Basic registration is must to participate.

4. Entry fees are non-refundable.

5. All players must wear sports attire during their games.

6. Non-marking shoes must be worn.

7. Participants to bring their own racquets. Shuttlecocks will be provided.

8. There is no limit to the maximum number of participants per college.

9. Schedule of respective matches will be released a day prior.

10. Player should be in the court 15 minutes before the match, otherwise the other opponent will be given a walkover.

11. Abusive words and fighting during the match are strictly prohibited, if found guilty team will be disqualified.

12. The committee reserves the right to amend the rules at any point of time before/during the tournament in the spirit of the tournament.

13. University is not responsible for any damage or misplacement of any belongings of students. Students must take care of their belongings

14. Students must carry university identification cards with them.

EVENTS

1. Singles events for both men and women separately.

2. Doubles events for men, women and mix.

Scoring System

1. A match consists of the best of 3 games of 21 points.

2. The side winning a rally adds a point to its score.

3. At 20 all, the side which gains a 2 point lead first, wins that game.

4. At 29 all, the side scoring the 30th point, wins that game.

5. The side winning a game serves first in the next game. Interval and Change of Ends o When the leading score reaches 11 points, players have a 60 second interval.

6. A 2 minutes interval between each game is allowed.

7. In the third game, players change ends when the leading score reaches 11 points.
